Jonathan Deximo
Pastor Jonathan-Paul Deximo (also known as Pastor JP) was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec to his loving parents, Joe and Mina Deximo. Throughout his childhood, Jonathan was raised Seventh-day Adventist, and spent his entire elementary and secondary education in the Adventist School system along with his younger brother, Joshua. Being brought up to love Jesus, Jonathan was baptized at the age of 8 years old. However, like many young people, he left his faith in his teen years only to return a couple years later; being led to share his new-found love for God and pursued a call into ministry.
He attended Burman University in 2014 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies. From his former role as a bible worker and one of the pastors of Calgary Fil-Can SDA and Chestermere Fil-Can SDA Churches, to currently being the youth pastor at Calgary Central SDA Church, Pastor Jonathan has a passion for Youth and Young Adult Ministries. In his spare time, he volunteers as a basketball coach at Chinook Winds Adventist Academy and plays basketball regularly. Overall, Pastor Jonathan has a heart for service and continues his best to inspire the young people to come to realize God as their personal saviour and friend.
Viktor Kononenko
Viktor Kononenko was born in the family of a military serviceman. No one expected him to become a pastor. But that was God’s calling. In 2011, Viktor graduated from the Zaoksk Theological Seminary in Russia and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Practical Theology. He also received a bachelor’s degree from the Seventh- day Adventist Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences in Philosophy and Religious Studies. In 2013, Viktor received a Master’s Degree from Ukraine. From 2011 to 2013, Viktor was an assistant pastor in Ukraine. From 2013 to 2022, He became an associate pastor of the Central Conference of the Ukrainian Union.
Viktor got married in December 2019. When the war started, he was on vacation in Europe, so the Conference recommended that he should stay in Poland. So in 2022, Viktor started serving as a pastor in Poland in the Southern Conference. In November 2022, Viktor and his family moved to Alberta. In January 2023 Viktor started serving as an assistant pastor at the College Heights Church in Lacombe, and from September 2023 to the present he has been working with the Calgary Ukrainian-Canadian Church Plant.
Viktor’s passion is spending time with his family, working with youth and children, hiking, and horses. He loves God and feels so blessed to be called by Him to serve people.
Ashia Lennon
Pastor Ashia Lennon grew up on the beautiful island of Jamaica. In 2014 she received her call to ministry at that year’s Canadian Youth Summit. She then attended Burman University in Lacombe, Alberta where she completed her undergraduate degree in Theology.
Pastor Ashia has also completed her Masters in Pastoral Ministry at Andrews University in 2021. She had been a lead pastor working for five years in the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference. At her most previous post in Alexandria, Virginia she continued to work within a pastoral team that allowed her to concentrate on the portfolio of children, youth, and young adults. Pastor Lennon has also been a column writer in the Canadian Adventist Messenger for two years where she created content in response to questions from youth across the country. Pastor Lennon is currently the chaplain at Chinook Winds Adventist Academy.
Her focus in ministry involves the practise of empathetic listening and to assist people in finding healing while discovering compassionate ways of communicating.
Pastor Lennon’s current obsession is bombarding her friends with memes and the amazing content that’s absurdly useful from listening to audiobooks and podcasts. No matter what hat she’s wearing; her goal is simple — To practically equip God’s people to develop an intentional relationship with Him and share their faith experiences.

In 2016 he began to hear the call to ministry and in the fall of 2017, he enrolled at Burman University as a religious studies major, graduating in the spring of 2020.
