Douglas Tilstra

About This Presenter

Dr. Douglas Tilstra has more than 45 years of experience as a pastor, conference ministerial director, university professor, university vice president, mentor, and certified leadership coach.

He has served pastorally throughout the United States and Canada as well as educationally at Southern Adventist University and Walla Walla University. He is a published author and frequent workshop speaker on a variety of topics including leadership, listening and communication, the life of Jesus, outdoor education, and domestic violence prevention/intervention.

For more than 15 years, Tilstra has been involved with education for pastors and local church leaders to recognize and respond to cases of domestic violence in their congregations. More recently, he has volunteered with EndItNow, the North American Division’s initiative to confront domestic violence with education, prevention, and training for first responders.
