Please note: In the event of any of the following emergency situations, the camp Fire Marshal and security will be on hand to assist you in following these procedures.
Tornado
In case of tornado warning, evacuate the campground in an orderly fashion. Make sure you have all your family members accounted for. DO NOT hook up your trailer or pack. Get in your vehicle and leave in the designated direction away from the oncoming tornado.
If a tornado is imminent (no time to evacuate) do the following:

Lodge – go down to the basement of the lodge.

Main Auditorium – lie down inside the concrete wall.

Lie down in ditches and low spots.

Stay out of cars and camping units.
-
Stay away from power lines.
Fire
In case of fire in a building, walk quietly but quickly to the nearest exit and proceed to a safe distance from the building to a muster point .
- DO NOT panic. DO NOT rush, push, or overtake.
- Follow instructions of the Fire Marshal and security.
- Keep noise to a minimum so that all instructions may be easily heard.
- DO NOT return to the building until all clear is given by the Fire Marshal.
- Call 911.
Severe Lightning Storm
- Stay away from water, metal objects, all electrical devices, telephones, vehicles and other substances that will conduct electricity.
- All campers are to take shelter in a safe place.
- Avoid standing under high objects.
- Alert staff to possible fire or other emergencies.
- Unplug all electronics.
Severe Storms
- Proceed to shelters (main building, lodge, bathrooms).
- Cabin residents, stay in your cabin.
- If sufficient notice, retract all awnings, tie downs and put any loose objects inside your RVs.
LOOK for weather updates on main bulletin board or listen to the camp radio station at 106.3 FM.
