Martin Hanna
Martin F. Hanna, PhD., is Associate Professor of Systematic Theology; Co-editor of the Andrews University Seminary Studies; Director of the Andrews University Theological Center for Interdisciplinary Dialogue; and Project Leader for “Facilitating Science-Theology Dialogue,” which has been funded by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In the Bahamas (his home country) and in Jamaica, he has served as a teacher, pastor, counselor, dormitory dean, chair of the theology department, and research center director. He earned a BA from Northern Caribbean University and an MA and a Ph.D. from Andrews University—with a dissertation titled “The Use of Science in Theology: Case Studies of Thomas F. Torrance and Langdon B. Gilkey.” Martin and his wife Henrietta (Ph.D. in Nursing) are proud parents of three adult children: Pharez, Melody, and Zachary.
